1. Listen to the audio and summarize it in your own words.

So this is, this is a bit of a pun, so I mean this in two ways so one is you want to, the obvious way, you wanna work for a company that is actually growing really quickly in terms of headcounts signs and like revenue, like the product successful. But you also wanna find a place that’s gonna, like investing you as an individual, and like help you learn skills that you can grow quickly. And it’s clear that you want, yeah, so why do you wanna (to) observe a company that’s growing quickly so the reason is people gain responsibility really quickly at those kind of companies right? (Their their) They’ve got a bunch of new responsibilities just propping up all over the place and they are gonna bias heavily towards the people they already have. If for no other reason than because it takes a long time like go and find someone with a certain skill and bring them into the company and usually you need a problem solved like today not three months from now. And a lot of new hires will be coming back in that company they need mentorship in if you’re starting in like a new grad, you’re new to the company, you’re gonna be better in no time. You’re gonna find yourself like onboarding new people in that company like 6 or 12 months and through ten-year. So one example is Josh, Josh Smith from Asauna so he was an intern with us in summer 2013, he joined us full-time at Asauna in November 2013 so he’s been there for about two years now. He’s now one of the most knowledgeable and versatile engineers like when we need someone that we just might trust on a project, he’s like one of our go-to people.

People want to work for companies that just grow quickly and also companies that invest in individuals and help them grow quickly because employees gain responsibilities quickly. As rapid-growing companies frequently encounter newly created urgent tasks that are required to be solved by existing employees as hiring skilled outsiders takes time. Also, new hires will improve from mentorships and be onboarding even newer batches, for example, Josh.
