TOPICS TO CONSIDER
When it comes to PTE SPEAKING MODULE, there are a few different types of questions. However, the most confusing one is NUMERAL PREFIX based question. Although numeral prefix questions in this section are based on general knowledge of day to day life as well as common sense, they are asked in a manner that sounds rather sophisticated and complex.
- How many parties are involved in bilateral talks?
- How many tires does a quad bike have?
- When is a bicentenary celebrated?
- How many years does a 5 decade have?
Let`s take the first question, Sounds confusing! Doesn’t it?
Actually, it is simply because all you need to know is the numeral prefix, and that’s it. The word ‘bilateral’ has a prefix ‘bi’ which means 2; the answer would be “2 parties”. In the case of 2nd question, Quad means 4; the answer is 4 tires; bicentenary has ‘bi’ which means 2;‘centenary’ which means 100 years; decades have prefix ‘deca’ which means 10.
